A date-hold that expires when you said it would

Event planners use SecureSign Portal to send client agreements, vendor terms, deposit schedules and cancellation policies as branded links with a deadline built in. Choose an expiry from 24 hours to 30 days, send an optional reminder before it lapses, revoke a link when plans change, and keep every view and signature timestamped.

What you can actually do

Deadlines in the link

The hold window is enforced by the expiry you set instead of by follow-up phone calls.

Expiry reminders

An optional reminder email goes out before a signing link lapses.

Revoke and reissue

When the date, the package or the price changes, turn the old link off and send a fresh agreement.

Separate vendor and client terms

Keep a template per agreement type and track each contract's status on its own.

Branded signing experience

Your logo, colors and contract layout on the page the couple or corporate client actually sees.

How the workflow runs

  1. 1Save templates for the client agreement, vendor terms and cancellation policy.
  2. 2Generate the contract for the event and attach the client record.
  3. 3Send a signing link with the hold window as its expiry.
  4. 4Reminder goes out before it lapses; revoke and reissue if plans change.
  5. 5Signature captured with a timestamp and a downloadable signed copy.

Questions people ask

Can a date-hold offer expire on its own?

Yes. Set the signing link to expire between 24 hours and 30 days. After that the page no longer allows signing, so a stale hold can't be accepted later.

What if the client goes quiet?

You can see the view count and last-viewed time, send an optional reminder before the link expires, or revoke the link and reissue it.

Can I keep separate agreements for vendors and clients?

Yes. Keep a template for each agreement type and generate contracts from whichever one fits, each tracked separately.

Do signers need an account?

No. The signing link opens a read-only page for that one contract, and nothing else in your workspace is reachable from it.
