Legal & Policies

Clear information about using the platform, electronic signatures, privacy, billing, and your responsibilities.

Last updated: Aug 21, 2026

The agreement that governs your use of the platform.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a workspace, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using SecureSign Portal (the “platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

3. Account and workspace responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential
  • All activity that occurs in your workspace
  • The accuracy of the business, client and contract information you enter
  • Ensuring the people you invite to your workspace are authorised to access it

4. Subscription, billing and renewals

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, plus applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the current period.

Full detail is in the Subscription & Billing section of this Legal Center.

5. Refund policy

Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable once the billing period has begun. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us through the contact page and we will review it.

6. Acceptable use and prohibited activity

You may not use the platform for fraud, forgery, impersonation, unauthorised signatures, or any unlawful purpose. The full list is in the Acceptable Use section.

7. Customer content, contracts and templates

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload, including your contracts, templates, client records and documents. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, display and transmit that content so the platform can function.

Any sample agreements, clauses or templates provided with the platform are general informational starting points only, and are not attorney-reviewed for your situation.

8. Intellectual property

The platform itself — its software, interface, design and documentation — remains the property of the platform operator. These terms do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you.

9. Platform availability

We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and factors outside our control can affect availability.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a workspace that violates these terms, is used unlawfully, or presents a security or payment risk. You may stop using the platform and cancel your subscription at any time.

11. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party providers for hosting, database, email and payment processing. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and policies.

12. No legal advice

The platform does not provide legal advice. You are solely responsible for determining whether your contracts, templates, clauses, disclosures, signature processes and business practices are appropriate and enforceable for your business, transaction and jurisdiction.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as is”, and the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the enforceability of any agreement created or signed using the platform.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify the platform operator against claims arising from your content, your agreements, your use of electronic signatures, or your breach of these terms.

15. Changes to the service and to these terms

We may modify the platform and update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date on this page. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is established. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.

This platform does not provide legal advice. These policies are general information and should be reviewed by qualified counsel for your business and jurisdiction.
